Job summary

Sigma Engineered Solutions in India seeks a Production Supervisor for the A0 plant (Sr. Engineer Production) with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 5-7 years in Gravity Die Casting foundry. The role focuses on planning, executing and improving production across three shifts.

You will manage manpower across shifts, ensure safety, quality, OEE, delivery, and cost targets, drive 5S and TPM, coordinate with machine shop and paint shop, and push efficiency in the gravity die casting process.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5-7 years of experience in Pressure Die Casting in a reputed company.
• In-depth knowledge of Pressure Die Casting, Trimming, Melting, Fettling.
• Conversant with ISO/OHSAS standards and 7 QC Tools, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, SMED concepts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor and improve Gravity die casting and machine shop production across three shifts.
• Manage shift manpower and ensure safety, quality (rejections, PDI), OEE, and delivery.
• Coordinate with machine shop and paint shop for production activities and reduce downtime.
• Drive improvement in 5S, TPM implementation, and conversion cost.
• Ensure process and system adherence and achieve monthly targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Qualification-Diploma Mechanical Engineer with 5-7 years experience in Gravity Die casting foundry.

Job Description & Summary

Responsible for planning, executing, monitoring & improving Gravity die casting & machine shop production & overall performance in three shifts.

Responsibilities

• 1. Responsible for handling shift Manpower in all three shifts.
• 2. Responsible for Daily production output in respective shift plan Vs Actual.
• 3. Responsible for Operator safety, Quality (Rejection & PDI), OEE, Delivery.
• 4. Responsible for fill rate, customer complaint.
• 5. Responsible for improvement in Conversion Cost.
• 6. Responsible for plant 5S.
• 7. Responsible for TPM implementation.

• Achieve the Monthly Budgeted Targets related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, 5s, TPM activities in his shifts
• Take actions related to PDI hold, rework, customer complaints, rejection.
• Co ordinate with machine shop & paint shop for production related activities.
• Responsible for reducing down times related to pressure die casting process.
• Take actions to ensure the process & System adherence.
• Improve die casting shot output per machine.
• Responsible for fettling output & taking actions to reduce the fettling work.
• Take initiative to improve & sustain 5s of die casting, fettling, and melting shop and machine shop.

Desired Skills and Experience

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Candidate should have minimum 5-7 years of experience in Pressure Die Casting with reputed company. In depth Knowledge of Pressure Die casting, Trimming, Melting, fettling is must.
3. Candidate should be conversant with -7 QC Tools, Six Sigma, TPM, 5s, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, SMED concepts.
4. Conversant with ISO, OHSAS standards.
5. Required Pressure die casting Cold chamber machine parameter setting skill.
6. Pressure Die casting Die loading and unloading skill
7. Required knowledge of Post Foundry and Machining processes.
