Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer for AD SW Algo2 to advance Generation-6 ADAS algorithms for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. You will develop and modify ADAS software, contribute to planning and control for L2/L2 Plus/L3 functions, and ensure customer-ready delivery with virtual validation tools.

The role requires strong C++ programming, data structures and design patterns, plus experience with requirements specifications and toolchains.

Qualifications

• Experience in ADAS domain - Driving or parking.
• Strong knowledge of algorithm development using C++, data structures & design patterns.
• Experience in writing requirement specifications and functional design specifications.
• Hands-on experience implementing mathematical equations / algorithms.
• Experience refactoring legacy code and improving performance.
• Understanding of SW build environments and processes (compilation, linking).
• Exposure to configuration management tools like GIT and requirement management tools such as DNG.
• Hands-on with code analysis tools like Astree and QAC.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR RTE is a plus.
• Python scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

We build best-in-class software for Autonomous driving functions for Mercedes Benz passenger cars. We are a team of talented engineers working in a global network to develop the next generation of Driver Assistance features used in all Mercedes Benz cars sold globally.

About the role:

The role involves Algorithm development of Generation-6 ADAS functions and making it customer ready for different MB carlines

• Software development/modifications related to ADAS L2/L2 Plus/L3 Autonomous Driving Functions
• Actively contributes in the area of planning and control for L2/L2 Plus/L3 Autonomous driving Software

Key responsibilities for the role:

• Secure well documented software requirements by performing software requirements analysis
• Design and implement efficient, high quality solutions in code
• Secure correct design of the function, through virtual validation tools
• Secure correct implementation through software testing using virtual tools and test vehicles
• Provide fast and effective software implementations for proof of concepts, when required
• Perform effective root cause analysis for problems reported during vehicle testing

Skills and knowledge:

• Experience in ADAS domain - Driving or parking.
• Must have good knowledge algorithm development using C++, data structures & design patterns
• Experience in writing requirement specifications, functional design specifications andimplementation of design
• Hands on experience in implementing mathematical equations / algorithms
• Hands-on experience in analyzing legacy implementations and refactoring code
• Good understanding of the SW build environment and build process – compilation, linking, etc.
• Exposure to configuration management tools like GIT and requirement management tools, e.g. DNG
