Job summary

AECOM in India is hiring a design engineer specializing in electrical/ME systems with 6-10 years of experience for healthcare, office, and rail/metro projects. You will contribute to concept and detailed design, using Revit, AutoCAD and BIM tools, while adhering to regional standards.

Hybrid work arrangement and collaboration with global teams are expected, with opportunities to advance in a Fortune 500 infrastructure leader known for complex, high-impact projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field; 2–5 years or equivalent.
• Proficiency in ELV system design and implementation.
• Knowledge of NEC/NFPA or relevant electrical codes.
• Experience with CAD software for electrical design.
• Familiarity with building automation and smart building tech.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and specs.
• PE license desirable.
• Experience with BIM software.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient design principles.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
• Experience with security/access control system design.
• Understanding IT network for ELV systems.

• Independently completes primary design elements for engineering works.
• Proficiency in software like Revit and AutoCAD; experience with Ekahu, xtralis, Navis, Revizto preferred.
• 6–10 years of design experience in ME and/or UK projects preferred.
• Experience in designing buildings for healthcare, offices, mixed-use, rail/metro.
• Awareness of BS/American standards and regional regulations advantageous.
• Candidates with post graduates in electronics/instrumentation preferred.

Job Description

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer

• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignements.

• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
• Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
• Proficiency in software applications like Revit, AutoCAD is needed and shall possess working experience in software like Ekahu, xtralis, Navis, Revizto etc. preferred.
• 6-10 years of design experience in ME and / or UK projects is preferred.
• Experience in design of Buildings for Healthcare, offices, mixed use developments, rail / metro etc. is needed.
• Awareness of BS / American standards along with region regulations is advantageous.
• Candidates with post graduations in electronics / instrumentation are preferred.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
• Knowledge of energy-efficient design principles
• Familiarity with project management methodologies
• Experience in designing integrated security and access control systems
• Understanding of IT network infrastructure as it relates to ELV systems
