Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Sr. Engineer – Power Hardware in Pune to lead cross-functional efforts across QA, testing, production and R&D for power products.

You will manage timelines, run collaborative meetings and ensure compliance with specifications and schedules. The role requires a strong background in power electronics design, control theory and CAD tools, with 5–6 years of relevant experience and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in power electronics design and development.
• Strong knowledge of power conversion design and manufacturing.
• Experience with industrial rectifier/UPS design and PFC/inverter concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate QA, testing, production and R&D of new and existing products.
• Serve as project lead for rectifier HW development with timelines and meetings.
• Review work for technical accuracy and ensure compliance with specs and deadlines.

Job Description forSr. Engineer – Power Hardware

Job Description:

Lead and coordinate with quality assurance, testing, production and research and development of new and existing product line. Serve as project in charge for rectifier products HW development project, creating timeline and, organizing collaborative meetings and ensuring project comply with specifications, timelines. Review work and project for technical accuracy. Maintain knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials and best practices; apply this knowledge to continually improve product line and production efficiency.Handle and solve market plus production problems. Perform other duties as assigned. Being part of Global Engineering Function, it is expected to follow the defined processes and adhere to defined communication plan.

Job Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical /Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in power electronics design & development is required
• Strong knowledge of power conversion design & manufacturing
• Good exposure of engineering theory & design criteria related to power conversion is required
• Experience in Industrial grade Rectifier or UPS product design, familiar with PFC, inverter circuit, buck, boost & LLC circuit principle & design

• Familiarity with control theory, analog, digital & electric plus Strong analytical & problem-solving skill required

• Thorough understanding of applied maths & physics is plus
• Experience on handling project independently and guide team members as needed
• Exposure of computer-aided drafting (CAD) software is added advantage
• Exposure to embedded software development is added advantage
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision
• Excellent Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
