Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Professional with 6–12 years of experience in Thermal Power Projects to manage electrical project execution, installation, testing, commissioning, and contract management activities.

The incumbent will oversee electrical systems, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, and coordinate with stakeholders to complete projects within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering with 6–12 years of experience in thermal power projects.
• Experience in project execution, installation, testing, commissioning and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution – Execute electrical project activities in Thermal Power Plant projects.
• Monitor installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, technical specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, contractors, consultants, and site teams.
• Track project progress and resolve technical issues during execution.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of generators, transformers, switchgear, GIS/AIS switchyards, bus ducts, motors and MCCs, UPS and battery systems, protection systems, lighting, earthing and lightning systems.
• Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities; coordinate with OEMs and consultants during testing; ensure synchronization and system integration.

• Electrical Systems Management - Oversee installation and commissioning of:- Generators - Transformers - Switchgear (HT/LT) - GIS/AIS Switchyards - Bus Ducts - Motors and MCCs - UPS, Battery Systems & Chargers - Electrical Protection Systems - Plant Lighting Systems - Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems Testing & Commissioning - Review and execute testing procedures and commissioning plans.
• - Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• - Coordinate with OEMs and consultants during equipment testing.
• - Ensure successful synchronization and system integration activities.
• Contract & Vendor Management - Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• - Review contractor bills and certify work completion.
• - Monitor contract compliance, progress, and performance.
• - Coordinate with vendors for technical discussions and issue resolution.
• Planning & Documentation - Prepare project schedules and progress reports.
• - Review engineering drawings and technical documents.
• - Ensure timely submission of reports, MIS, and project documentation.
• - Facilitate punch point closure and project handover activities.
• Safety & Quality - Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
• - Implement quality control procedures during execution.
• - Conduct risk assessments and corrective actions.
• - Promote safe work practices at project sites.
