Job summary

Adani Power is seeking an experienced electrical project professional to lead project execution in thermal power plants. You will oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of critical electrical systems, ensuring safety, schedules, and technical compliance.

You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, contractors, consultants, and site teams, manage EPC contractors and vendors, and drive thorough planning, documentation, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Diploma, B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 6-12 years of experience in electrical projects and power plant execution.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical project activities in thermal power plant projects.
• Monitor installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, technical specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, contractors, consultants, and site teams.
• Track project progress and resolve technical issues during execution.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of generators, transformers, switchgear, GIS/AIS switchyards, bus ducts, motors and MCCs, UPS, battery systems & chargers, electrical protection systems, plant lighting, and earthing & lightning protection.
• Review and execute testing procedures and commissioning plans.
• Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with OEMs and consultants during equipment testing.
• Ensure successful synchronization and system integration activities.
• Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Review contractor bills and certify work completion.
• Monitor contract compliance, progress, and performance.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical discussions and issue resolution.
• Prepare project schedules and progress reports.
• Review engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Ensure timely submission of reports, MIS, and project documentation.
• Facilitate punch point closure and project handover activities.
