Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer-Dry Utility to join our Energy team in India. This role focuses on designing and delivering electrical and lighting solutions across transmission and distribution networks, street lighting, and related infrastructure. You will contribute to projects across global offices and guide junior engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The candidate should hold a B.Tech/M.E. degree with 5–10 years of experience, including exposure to international markets.

Qualifications

• B. Tech or MSc in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably on international projects.
• Experience with Electrical (EHV, HV, MV, LV) networks and street lighting design.

Responsibilities

• Performs portions of a broader assignment for an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates engineering data using established procedures.
• Works on detailed assignments involving calculations and tests.
• Proposes approaches to solve new problems using modifications of standard procedures.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work within budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently completes primary design elements for electrical infrastructure works.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer-Dry Utility(Infrastructure)to join our Energy team in India. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful Energy projects across global offices and continue developing their technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing team.

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignements.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:

• B. Tech/ Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 5-10Years (Exposure to outside India projects preferably Middle East,UK, USA, Canada & ANZ region)
• Preparation, Review and production of Electrical (EHV, HV, MV, LV), Street Lighting, Telecom, ELV, ICT Network, Pump station,Water Treatment Plant, EV charging Station, Substation, Power Transmission & Distribution network
• Design Calculation: Street lighting, High Mast Area Lighting, Cable sizing & Voltage drop, Earthing, Fault level, Corridor sizing
• Software: Dialux, AGI, Lighting Reality, Amtech, ETAP
