Job summary

M&G Global Services in Pune, India is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and implement data solutions using Azure data services. You will migrate on-prem data warehouses to cloud platforms and build ingestion and transformation pipelines.

Responsibilities include working with offshore development teams, stakeholder management, and ensuring security with Azure Key Vault. Proficiency in Py-Spark and dimensional modelling is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience designing data architectures and pipelines in Azure.
• Ability to migrate on-premise data warehouses to Azure data platforms.
• Proficiency with Py-Spark and big data technologies is required.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize data solutions for business using Azure services (ADF, Databricks) in combination with custom solutions.
• Migrate on-premises data warehouses to data platforms on AZURE cloud.
• Designing and implementing data engineering, ingestion and transformation functions using ADF, Databricks.
• Proficient in Py-Spark.
• Experience in relational and dimensional modelling, including big data technologies.
• Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning on ADF & Databricks pipelines.
• Working in secured Azure environments using Key Vaults, Service Principals, and Managed Identities.
• Collaborate with offshore development teams and participate in end-to-end project lifecycle.

• To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G plc's operational risk.
• Build and operationalize data solutions for business using Azure services in combination with custom solutions – Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Flows, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Gen 2, Azure SQL etc
• Experience in migrating on-premise data warehouses to data platforms on AZURE cloud
• Designing and implementing data engineering, ingestion and transformation functions using ADF, Databricks
• Proficient in Py-Spark
• Experience in relational and dimensional modelling, including big data technologies
• Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning on ADF & Databricks pipelines
• Experience of working in secured Azure environments using Azure KeyVaults, Service Principals, and Managed Identities
• Working on off shore office based development teams, collaborating within a team environment and participating in typical project lifecycle activities such as requirement analysis, testing and release
• Should have skills for Stakeholder management, process adherence, planning & documentation
• Ability to interact with Business for requirement gathering and query resolutions
