Job summary

Siemens Limited in Goa invites BE/ME engineers to join our Cybersecurity team and lead security feature development for embedded energy automation products.

You will design architecture, guide juniors, perform threat modelling and security design reviews, collaborate with product security teams, and ensure IEC 62443 compliance across the product lifecycle. This is an office/site-based role in Goa. A strong background in C/C++, networking, and secure development practices is required.

Qualifications

• BE/ME in Electronics & Communication/ Electrical/CS with 6–10 years of embedded security experience.
• Experience designing and implementing cybersecurity features for connected products.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443, IEC 62351 and related standards; SDL practice exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design & own cybersecurity features for energy automation products to prevent unauthorized access and tampering.
• Define architecture and mentor juniors for security feature implementation.
• Conduct threat modelling and security design reviews; collaborate with product security teams, testers and cert bodies.
• Interface with Security Reuse components for easier product integration.
• Drive vulnerability assessment and remediation across the product lifecycle.

We are seeking for a BE / ME in Electronics & Comm/ Electrical/CS, should have minimum 6-10 years of experience in development of security features for embedded products.

This job is based out of Goa.

Product development

• Design & Own cybersecurity features that protect energy automation products against unauthorized access, firmware tampering, secure data compromise, and network-based attacks while ensuring compliance with IEC 62443.
• Define the architecture, guide and mentor junior developers for security features implementation.
• Conduct threat modelling and security design reviews. Collaborate with product security teams, penetration testers, and certification bodies.
• Understand and define the interfaces with Security Reuse components for easier integration with products.
• Drive vulnerability assessment, CVE impact analysis and remediation activities across the product lifecycle.
• Embedded Linux / RTOS based application design and development using IPC, networking and multi-threading concepts.

Professional knowledge

• Good programming experience in C/ C++.
• 6-10 years of experience in embedded software development, including significant experience designing and implementing cybersecurity features for connected products. Experience in Energy Automation or Industrial Automation products is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of key security concepts - TCP/IP fundamentals, TLS, SSH, HTTPS, PKI, Certificate lifecycle management.
• Experience working with Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices including threat modelling, secure code review, static analysis, dependency management and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity regulations, standards (IEC 62443, IEC 62351) and its impact of products.
• Good Understanding of Memories, RAMs, storage devices, high speed devices like USB, Ethernet.
• Strong knowledge of software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
• Proficient in multi-threaded programming and middleware solution development on Linux. Familiarity with multi-core programming, IPCs.
• Proficient in tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Scripting languages.
• Experience with cross compiler tool chain and build IDEs.
• Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems.
• Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
• Strong documentation and writing skills
