The role is part of the London Clearing House – Offshore Environment Management Team within SwapClear. It involves building and maintaining environments, supporting application deployments and providing on‑call support.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue management and follow up with development and project teams
- Engage in code deployment across multiple environments
- Identify and implement automation of environment support and buildout
- Escalate and manage issues to resolution
- Support non‑production batch runs and monitoring in Control‑M
- Liaise with infrastructure teams for SwapClear environment (DB, Unix, MQ, Storage, Portal, Networks, Control‑M, Gitlab)
- Release coordination and implementation
- Provide support to BAs, testers, risk analysts in a scrum‑like setting
- Participate in overnight, weekend, and bank holiday support including on‑call duties
- Consult with business teams during investigations and design phases
- Review development release packages and perform quality checks before production deployment
Required Skills And Experience
- Degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Strong Linux, Control‑M, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Murex environment management skills
- Scripting skills (Unix shell scripting: Bash, Korn shell)
- Experience with version control repositories (Bitbucket, Gitlab) and CI/CD tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, Maven)
- Understanding of product development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Exposure to SQL, PL/SQL, GIT, Gitlab, Maven, Datadog, ServiceNow desirable
- Experience working in a DevOps environment and on‑call support
Person Specification
- Experience in a post‑trade or clearing service environment
- Familiarity with financial products and terms
- Strong technical background with several years of experience
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with IT and business teams
- Collaborative team spirit and self‑motivated problem solving
