Job summary

Valmet in Pune, India is seeking an Engineer or Senior Engineer to contribute to reel and winder projects for paper and board machine environments. The role involves plant engineering, 3D modelling, drawings, and BOM creation.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to support project execution, procurement, manufacturing and installation, with travel within India and globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with Catia V6 and AutoCAD 2D.
• Reel & Winder engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to read fluid system diagrams.

Engineer / Senior Engineer - Reel & WinderWe are looking for an Engineer / Senior Engineer to join our team in Pune, India. In this role, you will contribute to engineering activities for paper and board machine environments, with a focus on plant engineering, 3D modelling, drawings, and bill of material creation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and subcontracted engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support project execution, procurement, manufacturing, and installation.

Main responsibilities:

• Efficiently prepare layout, schematic and detailed drawing
• Ensure designs are based on the established standards and specifications
• Maintain existing engineering record and designs
• Create and maintain bill of materials.
• Technical product support to the internal and external customers
• Project engineering and product improvements
• Participation to the technology team’s work
• Product Safety Support to procurement activities
• Participation to the delivery projects and customer audits

Willingness to travel, within India & globally

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical field.
• Good technical knowledge in mechanical engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Catia V6 and AutoCAD 2D design tools.
• Previous experience in Reel & Winder engineering of Board/Paper machines is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret fluid system diagrams and technical documentation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
