Job summary

You will design and maintain automated test scripts, collaborate with onsite and offshore teams, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality test artifacts while conforming to Quality Management Systems and design controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in Embedded Software Testing.
• Designing, documenting, and reviewing test cases and protocols.
• Experience in manual testing and automation using C, C++ or Python.
• Experience analyzing test results and preparing test reports.
• Exposure to Git and JIRA and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of CAN/UART/I2C and embedded communication protocols.
• 3+ years firmware writing for UART/RS232, SPI, CAN, I2C.

What you need

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science/ Electronics or related discipline
• 3-6 years of experience in Embedded Software Testing.
• Strong experience in designing, documenting, and reviewing test cases and test protocols.
• Experience in manual testing and automation using C, C++ or Python
• Experience analyzing test results and preparing comprehensive test reports.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and ALM platforms such as Git and JIRA.
• Understands the theory and methods of data reading for Embedded communication protocol and can apply them under minimal supervision while demonstrating:
• Reading data of CAN bus, UART/ RS232, I2C using communication cables.
• Experience in tools for monitoring embedded communication data.
• Reading data of UART/RS232, CAN, I2C, SPI using Oscilloscope
• 3+ years of experience in firmware writing for UART/RS232, SPI, CAN, I2C communication protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing product scalability, reliability, consistency, and performance.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and test strategy discussions.
• Understanding of hardware subsystem interface and debugging in an embedded environment.
• Knowledgeable with tools for static/dynamic analysis, memory management, code coverage and techniques for analyzing software.
• Automotive, Aerospace or Medical Device domain experience.
• Knowledge of Medical Device Software Development Lifecycle, FDA regulations, and IEC 62304.
• Experience with Python-based automation frameworks.
• Exposure to Embedded Testing on products like Surgical Table, Light, Camera etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
