Job summary

Embitel Technologies is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement firmware for communication devices. The role requires deep expertise in C/C++, with Python as a plus, and hands-on hardware interaction.

The ideal candidate will have 7–11 years of relevant experience, familiarity with Xilinx/AMD SoC and ARMv8, and strong knowledge of Linux device drivers or RTOS drivers. You will participate in architecture, implementation, and testing across the full SDLC.

Qualifications

• 7–11 years of relevant embedded software experience.
• Proficient in C/C++ with Python as a plus.
• Firmware development experience for communication devices.
• Exposure to Xilinx/AMD SoC and ARMv8 architectures.
• Linux device drivers or RTOS driver experience preferred.

• Strong code optimization for footprint and performance.
• Experience in integration and testing of firmware and low‑level code.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.

Role & responsibilities

• Experience: Minimum 7+ years (max 11 years) of relevant experience in embedded software development.
• Proficient in C/C++ Programming Language. Experience in Python is a plus.
• Firmware Development: Extensive experience with Firmware, preferably for communication devices like Ethernet.
• Xilinx/AMD SoC, ARM v8 architecture, Linux device drivers or device drivers on some RTOS, those will be preferred
• Hardware Interaction: Hands-on experience with hardware and embedded processors, preferably for communication devices.
• Code Optimization: Expertise in efficient code practices for code footprint and performance.
• Integration & Testing: Proven experience with the integration and testing of firmware and low-level code.
• Software Development Lifecycle: Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, including Architecture, Implementation, and Testing fundamentals.
