Job summary

Oben Electric Vehicles is seeking an embedded firmware engineer to design and implement firmware architecture for our EV platforms. You will develop, optimize and debug Embedded C/C++ code, interfacing MCUs with I2C/SPI/CAN and GPIOs, and implement high-performance power-conversion control.

You will work cross-functionally with hardware, contribute to validation, and advance multi-threading strategies with watchdogs for safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Embedded C/C++ firmware development experience.
• Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, GPIO, and analog IOs.
• Experience with FreeRTOS and debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead and support firmware architecture design.
• Develop/optimize/debug Embedded C/C++ code for required functions.
• Interface MCUs with peripherals using I2C, SPI, CAN, GPIOs.
• Implement high-performance power conversion related control: PWM, A/D, timers.
• Supports multi-threading with task priorities and watchdogs.
• Develop firmware validation through DVP and testing.
• Collaborate with hardware team for component selection.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, Lead & Support firmware Architecture design.
• Develop/Optimize/Debug Embedded C or C++ codes to achieve certain expected functions.
• Interface microcontrollers with other peripherals using I2C, SPI, CAN, GPIOs or Analog IOs.
• Implement optimal solutions using high performance power conversion processors and peripherals: PWM, Timers, A/D conversion, and control co-processors.
• Achieving multi-threading or multi-tasking abilities without compromising the Functional safety by use of task priority structure and Watchdog implementation.
• Developing DVP for Firmware validation and testing.
• Developing control strategies and algorithms.
• Documentation and Version keeping for Firmware updates.
• Collaborating with Hardware design team for component selection.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.tech/M.tech in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Mechatronics
• Embedded C or C++
• Experience in various coding & compiling environment such as Cube, Keil, TI code composer studio etc
• Experience in Various 32-Bit microcontroller.
• Experience in I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, CAN SAE J1939, GPIO, Analog IO and LIN
• Experience in FreeRTOS.
• Experience in Electronic component selection.
• Experience in Firmware version management tools.
