Candidates with exceptional hands-on expertise in professional audio, conferencing systems, loudspeaker design, microphone-array design, or audio DSP will also be considered.

What We Expect From This Role

This is not purely a simulation or research position.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working directly with speakers, microphones, DSP boards, amplifiers, acoustic test equipment, mechanical prototypes, PCBs, and complete conferencing products.

You should be able to take a product such as a conference speaker bar or microphone array and answer engineering questions such as:

  • Is the selected speaker suitable for the enclosure and target room?
  • What SPL and frequency response can the system realistically achieve?
  • Where should microphones and speakers be positioned?
  • Why is speech sounding distant, metallic, noisy, or distorted?
  • Why is the AEC failing under certain conditions?
  • How should the microphone array geometry be optimized?
  • What EQ, AGC, NS, AEC, beamforming, and limiter parameters should be tuned?
  • How does the mechanical enclosure affect audio quality?
  • How can objective measurements be correlated with perceived sound quality?
  • What needs to change before the product moves into mass production?

We are looking for an engineer who can combine acoustic science, measurement, DSP understanding, practical experimentation, and product engineering to deliver measurable improvements in audio quality.
