Job Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer – Tunnel Systems MEP team (Noida, India)

Job Description: This role spans the entire project lifecycle, from concept design to construction, including specifying and designing electrical services for rail, tunnels, and stations within transport infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design teams on projects.
• Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Produce and deliver reliable design solutions, reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Ensure the quality of technical deliverables and supervise activities in technical disciplines or business areas as appropriate.
• Present technical solutions to clients and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all necessary quality assurance (QA) functions are carried out in accordance with project procedures.
• Contribute input into bid management and business development.
• Assist in the mentoring, management and technical development of engineers and apprentices.

Candidate Specification

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional organization membership (e.g., IET, CIBSE) preferred.
• Chartered Engineer certification preferred.

Essential Skills and Experience

• 8–10 years of experience on large engineering and construction projects.
• Design experience in lighting, LV & HV distribution, earthing and bonding, fire alarm systems, lightning protection.
• Familiarity with MEP and telecommunications systems.
• Knowledge of key standards and legislation relevant to electrical discipline.
• Experience applying the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
• Excellent communication skills for business development.
• Proven ability to work within tight deadlines and act on own initiative.
• Proactive attitude, willingness to engage and adapt, and apply previous experience to new challenges.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience using industry standard software such as Trimble, E‑TAP, Dialux.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with common data environment principles.
