Job summary

Prozeal Green Energy in Surat (Head Office), with occasional site visits, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer for Energy Storage projects. You will draft electrical designs from tender stage to detailed engineering for BESS and solar deployments, ensuring compliance with applicable IEC/IEEE/UL standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities include sizing and protection schemes, one-line diagrams, cable sizing, earthing, load flow and short-circuit studies, plus vendor review, tender

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in electrical design of utility scale BESS or solar projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ETAP or equivalent power system software.
• Strong Excel skills for design calculations.
• Experience with drawing approvals from NTPC, SECI, PGCIL or state utilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BESS sizing calculations covering container count, C-rate, depth of discharge, degradation and round-trip efficiency.
• Prepare plant and block single line diagrams, protection scheme, CT and VT schedules and ANSI device lists.
• Carry out sizing of PCS, inverter duty transformer, auxiliary transformer, UPS and DG set.
• Prepare cable sizing calculations, cable schedules, earthing and lightning protection design and illumination layout.
• Prepare electrical layout and general arrangement drawings for containers, PCS skids and switchyard interface.
• Carry out load flow, short circuit and relay coordination studies.
• Review vendor GTPs, datasheets and drawings, and prepare deviation lists.
• Provide technical inputs for tender study, pre-bid queries and BOQ quantities.
• Ensure designs comply with CEA regulations, grid code and applicable IEC, IEEE and UL standards.
• Respond to client and consultant comments until drawing approval.
