Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Bangalore is seeking an Application Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will size BESS systems, perform energy/power calculations, and develop system architectures along with BOMs and datasheets.

Responsibilities include preparing technical proposals, supporting customer discussions, and coordinating with engineering teams for project execution and interconnection studies. 3–5 years in renewables or energy storage is preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/MTech in Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics or related field
• 3–5 years in Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, Energy Storage, Solar EPC, or Microgrid projects
• Experience sizing systems from 500 kWh C&I to 500+ MWh utility-scale BESS
• Exposure to DC/AC-coupled Solar + BESS architectures
• Techno-commercial evaluation and bid support for utility tenders

Responsibilities

• BESS sizing based on customer requirements and use cases
• Perform energy and power calculations, load and tariff analysis
• Develop system architecture drawings, BOMs, technical datasheets
• Prepare technical proposals and compliance matrices; support customer workshops
• Coordinate with engineering teams for project execution and grid interconnection studies
• Conduct ROI/ IRR/ Payback / LCOE analyses and financial modelling

Preferred Experience

• B.E./ M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics, or related field.3-5 years in Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, Energy Storage, Solar EPC, Utility Grid Projects, or Microgrid Solutions.Hands-on experience sizing systems from 500 kWh C&I projects up to 500+ MWh Utility-scale BESS projects.Experience with DC-coupled and AC-coupled Solar + BESS architectures.Exposure to PCS technologies (String PCS and Central PCS).Experience in techno-commercial evaluation and bid support for utility tenders.
