Job summary

Crown House Technologies (CHT) is seeking a Senior Authorised Person (Electrical) to lead the practical implementation and enforcement of electrical safety on major projects. You will control safety rules, appoint competent personnel, and issue safety documentation on site.

This high-responsibility role requires decisive leadership, rigorous risk assessment and clear communication to ensure safe energisation, compliant operations and timely project delivery across teams.

Qualifications

• Completed recognised electrical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3.
• City & Guilds 2365 or 2391 desirable.
• BS 7671 IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition.
• Authorised Person training from a recognised provider.
• First Aid qualification (minimum one-day emergency first aid).
• CSCS card.
• IOSH - Managing Safety.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules and procedures.
• Exercise sole responsibility for safe control of electrical systems in your area.
• Assess, appoint, and supervise Competent Persons (Electrical).
• Issue, control, and withdraw electrical safety documents in line with procedures.
• Provide instruction and supervision for the safe operation of electrical equipment.
• Engage with project teams to ensure safe energisation and operational readiness.
• Report and escape unsafe conditions, defects, or dangerous occurrences.

About The Role

As a Senior Authorised Person (Electrical), you will be responsible for the practical implementation and enforcement of electrical safety rules for systems under your control. You will exercise authority over electrical safety, assess and appoint competent personnel, issue safety documentation, and ensure all electrical work is carried out safely, compliantly, and efficiently.

This is a high-responsibility role with real impact - your decisions will keep both people and equipment safe while supporting critical project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Completed recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 3.
• City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent; 2391 (Electrical Testing & Inspection) desirable.
• BS 7671 IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition.
• Authorised Person training from a recognised provider.
• First Aid qualification (minimum one-day emergency first aid).
• Relevant CSCS card.
• IOSH - Managing Safety.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite).
