Alten in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our automotive ECU hardware team. You will analyze schematics, validate hardware, and perform board-level debugging on fielded units to ensure reliability and performance.

The role requires 6–8 years of experience in ECU hardware design, proficiency in RCA/FTA, and strong knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive CAPA actions and robust HW validation.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Review ECU hardware architecture, schematics, and circuit design.
• Perform bench validation and board-level debugging of returned units.
• Analyze power supplies, MCU/SoC interfaces, memory, I/O, and communication circuits.
• Reproduce field failures in a laboratory environment.
• Use oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, power supply, and diagnostic tools.
• Prepare FTA, failure hypotheses, and hardware root-cause reports.
• Identify design, component, PCB/assembly, interface, or HW/SW interaction issues.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
