Job summary

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a senior engineer for end-to-end ECU hardware development for vehicle motion and brake systems. You will work as the primary interface between customers and the ECU hardware team, leading delivery of schematics, BOM, and documentation.

The role requires 8–12+ years in automotive electronics with strong knowledge of interfaces (CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet) and model-based development.

• Interface with customers for ECU hardware topics; address requirements and issues.
• Drive technical reviews, issue resolution and end-to-end hardware project execution.

RoleResponsible for the end-to-end development and technical delivery of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) for vehicle motion and brake systems, acting as the key interface between the customer and the ECU hardware development team.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and manage customer and system requirements and translate them into ECU hardware requirements.Plan, track and drive project execution for ECU hardware development, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.Lead delivery of hardware development outputs, including schematics, BOM and technical documentation for production.Perform interface circuit calculations and design analysis for ECU interfaces.Define and evaluate hardware thresholds and interfaces in collaboration with the Software team.Ensure compliance with applicable EMC, functional safety and environmental requirements.Coordinate technical topics across Hardware, Software, System, Quality, Manufacturing and other stakeholders.Act as the technical interface to customers for ECU hardware topics, addressing requirements, technical issues and project deliverables.Drive technical reviews, issue resolution, design decisions and end-to-end hardware project execution.Skills & Experience8–12+ years of experience in automotive electronics / ECU hardware development.Full lifecycle experience in automotive hardware development, from requirements through design, verification and production.Strong understanding of electronic circuits, ECU architecture, interfaces and hardware design.Experience with hardware verification and validation, including design verification methods, data acquisition/analysis and HIL/MIL/SIL environments.Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow and model-based development.Understanding of automotive communication interfaces such as CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay and Automotive Ethernet.Good understanding of Functional Safety – ISO 26262, failure mode analysis and failure avoidance.Experience with rapid prototyping and hardware debugging.Familiarity with Vector CANape and CANalyzer.Experience in project planning, tracking and technical project management.Experience working in global and cross-functional development environments.Strong customer/stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to work independently with high ownership, accountability and attention to detail.
