Job summary

SNI is seeking a Senior EDI Expert for a client in Bengaluru, India. You will design, develop, and maintain EDI interfaces and mappings using SAP PI, handling AS2, FTP/SFTP, OFTP2, and standards like EDIFACT, VDA, and SAP IDocs.

Required 6–8 years of EDI experience, at least one EDI implementation project, and strong collaboration with business and technical teams to deliver reliable data exchange.

For one of our clients based in India, we are currently looking for a Senior EDI Expert .

Details

• Experience: 6–8 years
• Project Experience: At least one EDI implementation and development project

Scope

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain EDI interfaces and integrations.
• Develop and maintain EDI mappings using SAP PI.
• Work with EDI communication protocols, including AS2, FTP, SFTP, and OFTP2.
• Implement and support EDI message standards such as EDIFACT, VDA, and SAP IDocs.
• Support the onboarding and integration of suppliers, customers, and carriers.
• Analyze EDI message guidelines, mapping specifications, and business requirements to develop appropriate integration solutions.
• Monitor EDI transactions and troubleshoot message failures, connectivity issues, and mapping errors.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to ensure reliable data exchange.
• Collaborate with business teams, clients, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve integration issues.
• Support testing, validation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of EDI interfaces.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of EDI data exchanges across connected systems.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver integration solutions in line with project requirements and timelines.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of EDI communication protocols, including AS2, FTP, SFTP, and OFTP2.
• Strong understanding of EDI standards, including EDIFACT, VDA, and SAP IDocs.
• Good understanding of EDI principles and end-to-end integration processes.
• Experience with supplier, customer, and carrier onboarding.
• Familiarity with EDI message implementation guidelines and mapping specifications.
• Practical experience in analyzing EDI messages, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and resolving integration errors.
• Experience in at least one EDI implementation and development project.

Soft skills and additional qualifications

• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Experience working directly with clients and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage technical issues effectively.
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of SAP ABAP would be an advantage.
• SAP ABAP certification would be an additional advantage.
• Experience with other integration platforms, middleware solutions, and enterprise application integration tools would be beneficial.
• Preferred candidate: Someone available to start as soon as possible, based in or willing to work from Bengaluru, India.
