Job summary

Billennium is seeking a proficient Backend Engineer to design and optimize indexing pipelines for both structured and unstructured data in Pune. You will develop features, implement core algorithms to enhance search and analysis, and integrate diverse data sources with robust preprocessing.

Expect working with vector and image search, maintaining APIs, and contributing to the release cycle. You will collaborate on Azure-based services, DevOps practices, and data-driven experiments to benchmark

Qualifications

• Proficient in C# and .NET 6/8/10 with strong SQL/NoSQL knowledge.
• Experience in building Web APIs with EF Core, MediatR, ASP.NET Core, and XUnit ideally.
• Hands-on Azure experience including App Services, Functions, Key Vault, App Configuration, Blob Storage, and messaging (Service Bus or equivalent).
• Knowledge of IaC and CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with modern DevOps practices.

Development and integration of new features.

Work on core algorithm development to enhance search and analysis features.

Integrate and process new data sources, ensuring high-quality data extraction and preprocessing.

Design and implement a Missing Content Dashboard to track and analyze content gaps.

Develop and refine vector search and image search functionalities.

Manage and improve API endpoints for data retrieval and processing.

Participate in the release process, ensuring smooth deployment and integration of new features.

Conduct experimentation, benchmarking, and fine-tuning of search and data processing components.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Programming: Strong experience with C#, .NET 6/8/10, and SQL (NoSQL experience is a plus).
• Backend Development: Proficiency in Web API development and integration using tools such as Entity Framework Core, MediatR, ASP .NET Core, XUnit.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience working with Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, Key Vault, App Configuration, Azure Insights, Blob Storage, Service Bus or another queue provider).
• DevOps: IaaC (Bicep, ARM Templates or similar), familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Engineering Approach: Ability to evaluate solutions through experimentation, benchmarking, and iterative improvements.
• Communication: Fluent in English, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have:

• Search & Data Processing: Background in data extraction, preprocessing, and implementing search solutions.
• AI & Data Science: General interest and experience with AI-driven search, vector databases, and data analytics.
• Prompting: Familiarity with crafting and optimizing AI prompts.
