FactSet Hyderabad is seeking a Disaster Recovery Engineer to join the ITDR Team in Reliability Engineering. You will work under the Disaster Recovery Manager to support and maintain the disaster recovery program, ensuring resiliency and continuity of critical business functions during disruptions.

You will conduct risk assessments, develop recovery plans, test procedures, and coordinate with IT stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years in disaster recovery or business continuity planning.
• Knowledge of data backup and recovery systems and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, ISO 27001/22301/27031 is a plus.

Join our team and contribute to our commitment to maintaining resiliency and preparedness. We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable **Disaster Recovery Engineer** to join our team. In this role, you will work closely and report into the **Disaster Recovery Manager** to support and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery program. Your primary responsibility will be to perform and execute disaster recovery duties ensuring the resiliency and continuity of critical business functions in the event of a disaster. The Disaster Recovery Engineer will partake in risk assessments, create, and update recovery plans, and support recovery efforts with internal teams and external partners. Good problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and an understanding of disaster recovery principles are important for this position. **What you’ll do*** As a Disaster Recovery Engineer, you will play a contributing role in ensuring our organization's ability to effectively respond to and recover from disasters, safeguarding critical business functions.* Support the Disaster Recovery Manager and cross-functional technologists to analyse potential risks, perform business impact analyses, and identify critical IT systems and processes.* Conduct IT Business Impact Analysis (BIA) interviews with IT stakeholders to identify critical systems, Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).* Develop and deploy disaster recovery plans, including updating procedures and documentation for emergency response, assist with data backup and restoration, system recovery, and infrastructure continuity.* Conduct regular testing and validation of recovery plans and procedures to ensure their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.* Provide support to employees on disaster recovery procedures and best practices to enhance organizational readiness and response capabilities.* Collaborate with IT teams to assess and enhance system recoverability, updating configurations, and monitoring recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).* Support the evaluation of third-party vendors and service providers for disaster recovery solutions.* Continued learning of industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to disaster recovery, proposing recommendations for program enhancements.* Assist in incident response and recovery efforts during a crisis, working closely with the Disaster Recovery Specialist, and other technologists to minimize business disruption. **What We’re Looking For*** 5+ years proven experience in disaster recovery or business continuity planning, with a good understanding of disaster recovery methodologies, technologies, and industry standards.* Fluent in analytical skills, identify potential risks, evaluate business impacts, and support mitigation plans.* Understanding of data backup and recovery systems, including experience with data recovery, storage solutions, and disaster recovery technologies.* Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in recovery plans and procedures.* Good understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, operating systems, databases, and cloud platforms.* Ability to prioritize tasks, support project deliveries, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.* Familiarity with relevant compliance regulations and frameworks, such as HIPAA or ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 27031.* Availability to respond to emergencies outside regular working hours when necessary.**Additional Skills:*** Understanding of DRI's Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), BCI's Certificate of the BCI (CBCI) or Associate Membership of the BCI (AMBCI) preferred.* Good communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating collaboration with technologists of the organization.* Effective use in supporting disaster recovery and crisis management events.**Education:*** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field. **What's In It For You**At FactSet, our people are our greatest asset, and our culture is our biggest competitive advantage.
