The role primarily consists of designing, automating, operating and troubleshooting FactSet’s various network systems, including but not limited to our WAN, LAN, SAN, WiFi, Load-balancing, Internet Egress, DNS, AWS Cloud Networking, Network Automation and Market data environments.This broad range of technologies, coupled with the nature of the position, often result in an engineer being required to quickly [re]acclimate themselves with a technology, become a subject matter expert in that domain, fix the problem/implement a solution and then move on to the next initiative. S/He will develop and execute initiatives to simplify, standardize and optimize network and security operations methods and tools to reduce cycle times and increase security, availability, service agility.You will bring your background in networking technologies and proven record of designing and implementing globally to lead the design process and provide technical guidance on networking solutions, product plans, roadmaps, and cost modeling to manage existing networks. You will coordinate with the IT teams to secure the necessary network equipment. Additionally, you will bring solid track record of interaction with ISPs, familiarity with automation tools, multicast experience, strong analytical, project management and troubleshooting skills will receive a higher level of consideration.You will assess the existing network technologies to increase the performance, security & efficiency, examine and evaluate the network performance, and make changes wherever required.Past success designing, delivering, and administrating large networks is much appreciated. The ideal candidate should have delivered / built medium-large scale network infrastructure either as a lead technical contributor or Project manager overlooking the project delivery.
