Job summary

Teradata in India is seeking a senior product leader to define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for critical AI & Data Platform capabilities from India. You will operate with high autonomy as the senior product voice in-region, partnering closely with global engineering and product leaders.

Responsibilities include owning the product vision, shaping requirements, and mentoring PMs, while aligning with global stakeholders across time zones to deliver high-impact platform

Qualifications

• Twelve-plus years of product management experience in enterprise data platforms, cloud infra, or AI/ML tooling.
• Proven end-to-end ownership from strategy through execution and iteration.
• Strong technical depth in modern data architectures: data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, streaming, hybrid/multi-cloud.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive strategy, roadmap, and execution for AI/Data Platform capabilities.
• Partner with global engineering and product leaders in a highly autonomous in-region role.
• Mentor PMs across India to elevate product management capability.

What You’ll Do

This is a senior product leadership role responsible for defining and driving the strategy, roadmap, and execution for critical AI & Data Platform capabilities from India. You will operate with high autonomy as the senior product voice in-region, partnering closely with global engineering and product leaders.

Key impact areas include:

• Own and execute the product vision and roadmap across Fabric, AI & Data Governance, and Capacity & Cost Intelligence
• Drive deep customer and market discovery to identify high-value problems and translate them into scalable platform capabilities
• Define clear product requirements (PRDs, user stories, success metrics) that enable engineering teams to deliver with speed and precision
• Lead cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Architecture, Go-to-Market, and Customer Success
• Act as the primary product leader representing India within a globally distributed organization
• Elevate product management excellence by mentoring and coaching PMs across the India team

• A globally distributed Product and Engineering organization spanning India and the US
• Engineering leaders, architects, and platform teams building Teradata’s AI & Data Platform
• Cross-functional stakeholders across Go-to-Market, Pricing, and Customer Success
• A growing community of Product Managers in India (direct and indirect influence)

You will act as a senior product leader in India, working in close partnership with US-based leadership while shaping local product culture and execution standards.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

• 12+ years of product management experience, including significant exposure to enterprise data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML tooling
• Proven track record of owning complex product portfolios end-to-end—from strategy through execution and iteration
• Strong technical depth in modern data architectures (data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, streaming, hybrid/multi-cloud)
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment in global, matrixed organizations
• Experience mentoring or coaching product managers and elevating team-wide product management capability

What You’ll Bring

• Expertise in data governance, FinOps, or platform instrumentation and analytics
• Familiarity with tools and ecosystems such as Collibra, Alation, Apache Atlas, or cloud cost management frameworks
• Knowledge of open data formats (e. g. , Iceberg, Delta, Hudi) and cloud-native analytics services
• Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS/PaaS business models, including consumption-based pricing
• Exposure to AI/ML platform components such as MLOps, feature stores, or LLM infrastructure
• Experience operating within large-scale engineering centers in India
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (MBA preferred)
