Job summary

MSX International is seeking a Senior Diagnostic Software Support Engineer at our Chennai workshop. The Master Technician serves as the workshop's senior diagnostic authority, resolving complex premium-vehicle faults, managing escalations and mentoring other technicians.

Key duties include advanced ECU programming and CAN/LIN diagnostics, network fault troubleshooting, capturing diagnostic logs, and coordinating with Service Advisors, Parts and OEM technical teams, while upholding safety, ESD

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Tech in Automobile, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Proven ECU programming/coding and advanced CAN diagnostic capability.
• Experience with complex diagnostic case handling and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and mentoring capability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose escalated, intermittent, cross-domain and network-related vehicle faults.
• Perform complex ECU programming, coding, software updates and adaptations.
• Troubleshoot CAN/LIN communication, gateway and module-network faults.
• Lead technical escalations and prepare structured cases for OEM support where required.
• Capture and interpret diagnostic logs and traces.
• Mentor junior and mid-level technicians on diagnostic process, tools and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate job-card, warranty and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors, Parts, Warranty and OEM technical teams.
• Follow workshop quality, safety, ES D and high-voltage procedures.
