Job summary

Mitainfotech in Siliguri, India seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage production Linux infrastructure across on-premises and AWS environments. You will administer servers, virtualization clusters, storage, and networking to ensure highly available, secure systems.

You will design and maintain scalable architectures, implement CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and automation scripts, while enhancing security and incident response.

Qualifications

• Advanced Linux administration across Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, Debian.
• Production Linux servers in on-premises data centers.
• Physical server provisioning, OS installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of systemd, SSH, PAM, cron, Linux permissions, kernel parameters, and system security.
• Advanced storage administration: LVM, RAID, NFS, iSCSI, filesystems, and disk performance optimization.
• Virtualization technologies: ProxmoxVE, KVM, VMware, and Hyper-V.
• Understanding of clustered virtualization, live migration, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of distributed storage technologies such as Ceph is highly desirable.
• Experience with enterprise server hardware, Dell iDRAC, IPMI, firmware management, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Linux performance analysis, resource optimization, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage production Linux infrastructure across on-premises datacenters and AWS cloud environments.
• Administer physical servers, virtualization clusters, storage, and networking infrastructure.
• Design and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure architectures.
• Lead infrastructure troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production incident resolution.
• Manage AWS services, networking, security, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Maintain web servers, database clusters, middleware, and application infrastructure.
• Design, implement, and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Manage Docker and container orchestration environments.
• Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Implement infrastructure security best practices, patching, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Plan infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansion.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and engineering teams to improve application reliability and deployment efficiency.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers, review technical implementations, and maintain infrastructure documentation.
• Participate in critical production incident handling and on-call support as required.
