Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure management. The role focuses on Kubernetes, clustered MySQL and MongoDB, and securing high availability across production environments.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, implement IaC with Terraform, and optimize performance and reliability on Azure, AWS, or GCP. US time-zone support may be required.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in build automation, CI/CD pipeline development, database administration, and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with clustered MySQL and MongoDB, along with cloud experience in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role involves supporting database users, automating operational tasks, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring database availability, security, and performance across production and non-production environments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in build automation, deployment pipeline development, and DevOps engineering.
• Strong database administration experience with clustered MySQL and MongoDB.
• Hands‑on Kubernetes experience covering deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with one or more cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience managing cloud compute, networking, storage, and database services.
• Familiarity with managed Kubernetes services such as AKS, EKS, or GKE.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or equivalent.
• Proficiency in scripting using Python, Bash, or equivalent languages.
• Strong understanding of database access management, IAM, role‑based access control, and secrets management.
• Ability to interpret operational metrics and troubleshoot database and infrastructure incidents.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance build automation and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Use and improve existing automation to provision database users and manage access based on a request queue.
• Administer shared MySQL and MongoDB environments, including user management, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Support database users and respond to operational incidents during US time zones.
• Analyze database and infrastructure metrics to identify normal patterns, detect anomalies, and investigate performance issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve database connectivity, query efficiency, and service stability.
• Optimize database parameters, indexes, and queries to improve response times and minimize downtime.
• Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads, including database connectivity, networking, and storage.
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using automation and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Implement secure access controls, credential management, and database connectivity.
• Monitor database performance and apply patches, upgrades, and configuration changes when required.
• Maintain and validate backup, recovery, and high-availability procedures.
• Perform regular checks to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
• Provide proactive and reactive database support, documentation, and user training.
