Job summary

FIS is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, operate, and enhance cloud-based platforms enabling fintech solutions. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to boost reliability, automate delivery, and improve deployment efficiency.

You will build scalable infrastructure, implement IaC practices, and monitor systems to ensure security, availability, and performance across production environments. This role emphasizes resilience and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in DevOps or Software Engineering.
• Strong experience with public cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, container orchestration, and cloud-native technologies.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, TypeScript, Java, or similar.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, configuration management, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing distributed systems in production environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

About The Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will help build, operate, and enhance highly available cloud-based platforms that support critical fintech solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operational teams to streamline software delivery, improve platform reliability, and ensure production stability. This role combines infrastructure engineering, automation, site reliability, and operational support to drive secure, scalable, and resilient technology environments. Success is measured through system reliability, deployment efficiency, operational excellence, and outstanding stakeholder support.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, configuration management, and Infrastructure as Code tools
• Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing distributed systems in production environments
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code platforms
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar solutions
• Experience designing and supporting highly available, client-facing cloud architectures
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and enterprise infrastructure standards
• Experience supporting business continuity planning and disaster recovery programs
• Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps, or security certifications
