Job summary

Academian in Pune, India is seeking a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for modern frontends and automation services. You will architect Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS), implement IaC with Terraform, manage cloud resources, and optimize performance and cost across multiple environments.

You will define repository strategies, enforce DevSecOps standards, and mentor teams on best practices while ensuring high availability and disaster recovery for Strapi CMS and

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps / Platform Engineering.
• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Proficient with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Experience with Go and Python build pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for Angular/TypeScript frontends and automation services.
• Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS) and containerized environments.
• Provision infrastructure using IaC and optimize cloud cost and resources.
• Define repository strategy, enforce DevSecOps, and drive security scanning.

Job description

• Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for:
• Angular / TypeScript frontends
• Extend Script and automation services
• Standardize branching, versioning, and release workflows
• Architect and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS / AKS)
• Provision infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred)
• Design scalable containerized environments
• Manage ingress, service mesh, and API gateways as needed
• Optimize cloud cost and resource allocation

Repository & Code Governance

• Define repository strategy (mono vs poly repo where applicable)
• Implement secure access policies via Azure AD / IAM
• Manage Git workflows and enforce DevSecOps standards
• Integrate automated security scanning (SAST/DAST)

Application Deployment & Runtime Management

• Deploy and manage:
• Strapi CMS
• InDesign Server integrations
• Manage container registries and artifact repositories
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategy

Observability & Reliability

• Implement centralized logging and monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
• Lead root cause analysis for production issues
• Establish environment strategy (Dev / QA / Stage / Prod)
• Define versioning and rollback mechanisms
• Mentor developers on DevOps best practices

Technical Requirements:

Mandatory -

• 8+ years in DevOps / Platform Engineering
• Docker & container orchestration
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / ARM / CloudFormation)
• AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, EKS)

Preferred -

• Experience with Go and Python build pipelines
• Experience supporting CMS platforms (Strapi preferred)
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign Server environments
• Exposure to content automation pipelines
• Experience in high-volume document rendering systems
