Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms. You will build end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure reliable release processes across multi‑API environments.

The role requires 8–12 years of DevOps experience, strong expertise in Docker/Kubernetes, and hands‑on scripting with Python/Java.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in DevOps/Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Hands-on with Python and/or Java for backend services.
• Solid Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with IaC and automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms.
• Build and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD implementation, and container orchestration. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and managing scalable applications in cloud-native and multi‑API environments. What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms.
• Build and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline application deployment and operational processes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows.
• Monitor application performance, system health, and infrastructure availability across environments.
• Troubleshoot cloud, application, networking, and deployment‑related issues.
• Implement security best practices and operational governance controls within cloud environments.
• Configure and maintain logging, monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Manage application scalability, reliability, performance tuning, and disaster recovery processes.
• Support API‑based architectures and multi‑service platform deployments.
• Participate in release planning, production deployments, and incident management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives around automation, platform engineering, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of business‑critical solutions.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8 to 12 years of experience in DevOps Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience working with backend technologies using Python and/or Java.
• Understanding of frontend technologies including React, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Extensive experience with GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
• Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines from the ground up.
• Strong scripting and automation expertise using YAML, Shell/Bash, Groovy, Python and/or Go.
• Strong Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and debugging skills.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and automation practices.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, API gateways, DNS, security groups, and firewalls.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud security, DevSecOps practices, and operational governance.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
