Job summary

Kapston Services is seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, GitOps, and DevSecOps. You will build, secure, monitor, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure and containerized applications.

Requirements include 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience and strong troubleshooting, automation, and security skills. You will collaborate with multiple teams to improve reliability, deployment processes, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.

• Manage infrastructure using Terraform / IaC.

Job description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in Cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, GitOps, and DevSecOps. The candidate will be responsible for building, managing, securing, monitoring, and optimizing scalable cloud infrastructure and containerized applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized microservices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated build, testing, security, and deployment.
• Implement GitOps using Argo CD or similar tools.
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Implement DevSecOps practices, security controls, access management, and vulnerability scanning.
• Implement security best practices for data protection, encryption, access control, audit logging, secrets management, and vulnerability management.
• Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
• Troubleshoot production issues across cloud, Kubernetes, networking, and applications.
• Implement autoscaling, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to improve reliability and deployment processes.

Required skills & qualifications

• Cloud: Mandatory hands‑on experience with AWS.
• Kubernetes & Docker: Production experience with containerized applications.
• CI/CD: Code Pipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.
• GitOps: Argo CD or similar.
• IaC: Terraform.
• Data Layer: ElastiCache Redis,Route 53 Aurora PostgreSQL, MongoDB Atlas, and S3 media storage.
• Messaging: MSK and ZooKeeper nodes.
• DevSecOps: Cloud security, IAM/RBAC, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and security automation.
• Cloud & Networking: CDN, WAF, DNS, API Gateway, Internet Gateway, load balancer, public/private subnets, and NAT Gateways.
• Monitoring & Operations: Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and alerting integrations.
• OS & Scripting: Linux and Bash/Shell scripting.
• Version Control: Git.
• Production Kubernetes experience
• Kubernetes autoscaling and performance optimization.
• Cloud cost optimization.
• High‑availability and disaster‑recovery architecture.
• Experience supporting compliance and security audits.
• Microservices, REST, gRPC, and WebSocket knowledge.
• Load testing and infrastructure capacity planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on DevOps / Cloud experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, security, and problem‑solving skills.
