The Senior Developer (IAM Architecture) is responsible for architecting, developing, testing, and supporting data integration workflows between multiple internal and external (SaaS) systems (applications, identity providers, and other data sources) and R1 IAM systems, with an emphasis on Identity Providers (IdPs). This position serves as a primary subject matter expert in IdP functionality and will work with both internal R1 infrastructure teams and external resources to design and build appropriate data flows. They will also take a hand-on approach by providing design proposals, scripting, and maintenance for enterprise IAM systems.
Skills Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or relevant field – or equivalent professional experience within IT systems, infrastructure, or development 3-5 years’ Industry experience in systems integration, system administration, or software development (or evidence of hands‑on experience) Experience with one or more major programming languages (.NET, Java) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, etc.). Should be able to design, develop, and execute solutions independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong familiarity with Identity Provider principles & technologies such as Active Directory, Auth0, Entra, and other SAML based systems. Familiar with REST and SOAP API fundamentals. Knowledge of designing and planning solutions; debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) solutions or scripting automated tasks. Experience with managing both Linux & Windows Operating systems – knowledge of server administration, including IIS administration, a plus. Attention to detail and capability to apply discretion and sound judgment in managing complex processes, decisions and handling sensitive information. Strong consultative and diagnostic skills Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills Familiarity with design methods, techniques, and standards Willingness to learn new techniques, languages, or design structures Exhibits effective listening and organizational skills Drives for continuous improvement.
