Job summary

HCLTech in Gurugram is seeking an experienced Pega Senior Developer with 7-8 years of hands-on expertise in Pega Customer Service to build, enhance, and maintain customer service applications. The role covers integration, workflow optimization, and performance tuning.

You will work in Agile teams, design reusable components, and mentor junior developers while ensuring adherence to Pega guardrails and coding standards. Hybrid/WFH setup and IST shift timings apply.

Qualifications

• 7–8 years of hands-on Pega Customer Service experience.

• Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Pega Senior Developer with 7-8 years of experience with expertise in Pega Customer Service (Pega CS) to build, enhance, and maintain customer service applications. The role involves hands‑on development, integration, and optimization of customer interaction workflows and service cases, ensuring seamless customer experience and agent efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using Pega Customer Service framework.
• Configure: Service cases and case life cycles; Customer interaction portals (CSR desktop); Flows, decision rules, SLAs, and routing mechanisms
• Create reusable rules and components as per Pega best practices.
• Implement integrations with enterprise systems using: REST/SOAP services; Pega connectors and services
• Handle data synchronization and error handling efficiently.
• Perform unit testing and assist in SIT/UAT phases.
• Debug issues and ensure defect resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and quality checks.
• Optimize application performance: Data pages and queries; UI responsiveness; Case processing efficiency
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams to deliver features.
• Collaborate with: Business Analysts; QA teams; Architects (SSA/LSA)
• Provide estimates and meet sprint commitments.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior developers.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementations.
• Ensure adherence to Pega guardrails and coding standards.
