Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead memory/analog design efforts in Hyderabad. You will drive the development of DRAM and memory IPs, coordinate with multiple groups for design validation, and push innovations across memory generations.

The role requires strong leadership, deep circuit design knowledge, and proficiency in verification methodologies, timing analysis, and CAD tools. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Post Graduate Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the development of new DRAM, emerging memory products and IPs by enabling design, layout, and optimization of Memory/Logic/Analog circuits.
• Supporting design validation & verification, reticle experiments and tape-out revisions.
• Performing verification processes with modeling and simulation using industry standard simulators.
• Contributing to cross group communication to standardize and drive group success.
• Collaborating with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability.
• Soliciting inputs from Standards, CAD, modeling, Technology Development to ensure design quality.
• Driving innovation into future Memory generations in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities of your team will include, but are not limited to:

1. Contributing to the development of new DRAM, emerging memory products and IP’s by enabling the overall design, layout, and optimization of Memory/Logic/Analog circuits
2. Supporting design validation & verification, reticle experiments and required tape-out revisions
3. Performing verification processes with modeling and simulation using industry standard simulators
4. Contributing to cross group communication to work towards standardization and group success
5. Working with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering groups to ensure proper manufacturability of product
6. Proactively solicit inputs from Standards, CAD, modeling, Technology Development groups to ensure the design quality and reliability
7. Driving innovation into the future Memory generations within a dynamic work environment.

Demonstrate openness to leveraging AI‑based tools and automation to improve design efficiency, accelerate analysis, and explore innovative solutions across the design and verification workflow.

Successful candidates for this position will have:

1. Experience leading a team of young engineers and technical subject matter experts
2. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to other design and verification peers in verbal and written form
3. A mindset and passion for continuous learning, innovation, success, and enabling others to do the same
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
5. Extensive knowledge of Custom Circuit Design, Analog Design, Verification and Layout
6. Knowledge about complete product design and development flow including:
   1. Memory Design
   2. Power network development & analysis
   3. Reliability analysis and improvements
   4. State machine modelling, design and verification
   5. Verification methodologies and frameworks including behavioral modeling, Timing analysis, equivalence check
7. Familiarity with a scripting language (Python, Tcl, Perl, etc)
8. Familiarity with various memory design architectures
9. Good exposure to various CAD tools

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors or Post Graduate Degree in Electronics Engineering or related engineering field
2. 3+ years of experience
