Job summary

Arm Limited is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to develop IPs and technologies for next-generation SoCs. You will own micro-architecture, RTL coding, and design quality checks, collaborating with architects and verification teams to translate architecture into detailed specs.

The role emphasizes power-aware, clock-domain design and hands-on RTL development, with mentoring duties for junior staff. Hybrid working model in India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, EE, or CE.
• 5+ years of experience in design for IPs/sub systems.
• Hands-on RTL development and Verilog HDL experience.
• Synthesis, timing analysis, clock/power domain design.
• Proficiency with scripting (Perl, Python, etc.).
• Experience with static checks (Lint, CDC, RDC, Power checks).

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality IP and technology components for advanced SoCs.
• Working with Architects to refine and translate architecture specifications and translate them into detailed design specs.
• Own micro-architecture, RTL coding, bug fixing, and design quality checks.
• Collaborate with verification teams on test plan reviews and debug activities.
• Improve and evolve design methodologies, flows, and guidelines.
• Mentor and support junior team members to ensure successful project execution.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in CS, EE, or CE
• Skilled in design for IPs/Sub systems with 5+ years of experience
• Synthesis & timing analysis
• Power management and low-power design techniques
• Clock & power domain implementations
• Digital hardware design and Verilog HDL.
• Static checks (Lint, CDC, RDC, Power checks)
• Experience writing design & micro-architecture specifications.
• Hands-on RTL development expertise.
• Proficiency with scripting (Perl, Python, etc.).

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

• Experiencewith ARM-based designs or ARM System Architectures.

Exposure to:

• Advanced synthesis checks
• Functional verification, X-propagation, GLS etc
• DFT and physical implementation flows
