Job Description

• Own the full Denodo Platform lifecycle from architecture and implementation to operations and continuous optimisation
• Design and implement Denodo architectures and reference patterns integrated with the AWS-based data platform, sources, and consumers
• Develop, tune, and optimise Denodo views, queries, and caching strategies to ensure high performance, scalability, and reusability
• Define and enforce security, access control, and data masking policies while integrating Denodo with enterprise IAM frameworks
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to validate virtualisation designs and advise on trade-offs between virtual and physical data integration
• Drive metadata, lineage, and catalogue integration to ensure virtual datasets are governed, discoverable, and well-documented
• Manage Denodo platform administration, monitoring, CI/CD deployments, capacity planning, backup and recovery, and user enablement initiatives

The Successful Applicant

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in data virtualization with strong hands‑on expertise in Denodo administration, development, and performance tuning with a proven track record of designing and operating Denodo solutions in production, including view modelling, caching, optimization, and security configuration
• Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and proactive performance tuning for Denodo environments
• Strong data modelling and advanced SQL skills across logical and virtual schemas with solid understanding of modern data platform architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and lake house patterns within hybrid landscapes
• Excellent consulting, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable virtualization solutions
