Job summary

Zone IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Denodo Developer to design, develop, and lead enterprise data virtualization solutions. The role will work with data, architecture, engineering, and business teams to create scalable and secure data access layers across multiple data sources.

You will lead the design and development of Denodo-based data virtualization solutions, maintain virtual views and data services, integrate data from diverse sources, and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Denodo Platform / Data Virtualization.
• Strong knowledge of VQL, virtual views, data sources, data services, and data modeling.
• Strong SQL and database concepts.
• Experience integrating multiple enterprise data sources.
• Understanding of data architecture, data integration, and data governance.
• Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting in Denodo.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience leading technical teams or projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Denodo-based data virtualization solutions.
• Develop and maintain virtual views, data services, and reusable data models.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and data warehouses.
• Develop and optimize queries using VQL and implement performance-tuning strategies.
• Design logical/semantic data layers for governed data access.
• Configure security, access controls, data masking, and governance in Denodo.
• Troubleshoot data integration, performance, and production issues.
• Collaborate with data architects and engineering teams on enterprise data architecture.
• Lead technical discussions, code/design reviews, and mentor junior/mid-level members.
• Establish development standards and reusable frameworks for Denodo implementations.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and production operations across environments.
• Work with cloud and modern data platforms to enable scalable data integration and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Denodo-based data virtualization solutions.
• Develop and maintain virtual views, data services, and reusable data models.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and data warehouses.
• Develop and optimize queries using VQL and implement performance-tuning strategies.
• Design logical/semantic data layers to provide consistent and governed access to enterprise data.
• Configure security, access controls, data masking, and governance within Denodo.
• Troubleshoot data integration, performance, and production issues.

• Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting in Denodo.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Previous experience leading technical teams or projects.

Good to Have

• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and API-based data integration.
• Experience with BI/analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with enterprise data governance and metadata management.
• Denodo certification is an advantage.
