Job summary

V2 Retail Limited in Gurugram (India) is hiring a Senior Database Administrator with 7+ years of hands-on DBA experience to join the IT team. The role focuses on managing, maintaining, and securing enterprise databases to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability for critical applications.

You will collaborate with developers and IT teams to support data needs, optimize queries, and implement backups, DR plans, and security controls across PostgreSQL and other RDBMS.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and at least one other RDBMS (SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL).
• Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning.
• Proven experience in backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
• Solid understanding of data security, roles, permissions, and encryption.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with high-availability setups (clustering, replication, failover).
