Senior Data Scientist – Pharma Commercial Analytics

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with expertise in Pharma Commercial Analytics to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, advanced analytics, and experience in the Pharma/Life Science domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of consumer offerings, proprietary databases, and analytical approaches to effectively guide and support client-facing stakeholders globally.
• Efficiently handle small and large datasets on projects and determine the appropriate technology for data processing (e.g., Python, R, SAS).
• Champion analytics technologies within the team.
• Manage projects such as Segmentation & Targeting of Pharmacies/Physicians/Hospitals, Promotional Return (ROI analysis), and Resource and Price Optimization analyses.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders from a business perspective.
• Perform advanced analytics using machine learning algorithms such as Linear & Non-Linear Regression, Hierarchical models, Bayesian methods, Time series forecasting, RNN, CNN, LSTM, and NLP.
• Support the development of Data Science/Advanced Analytics proposals and present them to leadership.
• Lead discussions and assess the feasibility of AI/ML solutions for business processes and outcomes.
• Ensure efficient and effective project delivery to meet project team and client expectations.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of work experience in data science, specifically in the Pharma/Life Science domain.
• Graduate degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SAS, and MS Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint) is mandatory.
• Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
• Some experience in developing and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions in the cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, Hadoop) and Generative AI is advantageous.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with a focus on technical aspects of projects and the ability to develop usable documentation.
• Highly motivated individual with a zeal to learn new things and take on new challenges.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to accomplish shared goals.
