Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Data Scientist to drive measurable AI outcomes across the full lifecycle, from data prep to model deployment. You will collaborate with stakeholders, deliver NLP and ML solutions, and refine data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Azure AI Search in a collaborative Agile environment.

You should communicate complex ideas clearly, handle production-grade code, and contribute to evolving data science workflows while leveraging UNIX and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science.
• Strong analytical skills in statistical data analysis, machine learning, and NLP with real-world constraints.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL with data-analysis libraries.
• Experience developing AI solutions such as classification, clustering or NLP.
• Good understanding of ML Ops and feature engineering for model workflows.
• Ability to work with Azure AI Search to support business-driven model delivery.
• Solid grasp of software development practices and versioning tools such as GitLab.
• Familiarity with Jira for project tracking and Agile workflows.
• Competence with UNIX command line tasks and applying innovative technology solutions.
• B2 level of English (Upper-Intermediate) or higher with strong technical communication ability.

• Good understanding of ML Ops and feature engineering techniques for model workflows
• Ability to work with Azure AI Search to support business-driven model delivery
