Job summary

Falabella India is seeking a skilled ML Engineer to lead development of recommender systems and related ML models in a Bengaluru-based role. You will apply deep learning techniques, build pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on data-driven recommendations for ecommerce platforms.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Transformers, vector databases, learning-to-rank, and scalable ML operations in a cloud environment, preferably within retail or marketplace contexts.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in ML and deep neural networks.
• Proficiency in Python, NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras.
• Experience with vector databases and MLOps practices.

Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience in Machine Learning and Deep Neural Networks, SQL (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Good understanding of Transformers, vector indexing and databases, Bayesian statistics, time‑series deep learning, random forest, GLM/GAM, XGBoost, clustering, CNN, RNN, and GAN.
• Proficiency in Python, NumPy, Pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, Keras, NLTK, Seaborn, and Matplotlib.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Kubeflow, or similar.
• Knowledge of containerization and MLOps practices.
• Experience using vector databases (Milvus, Qdrant, etc.).
• Experience on GCP, Vertex AI suite (Workbench, model registry, experiment tracking, and online predictions).
• Experience in recommendation systems – mandatory.
• Hands‑on with recommendation algorithms: collaborative filtering, two‑tower models, learning‑to‑rank.
• E‑commerce or retail background; experience on marketplace platforms is a strong plus.
