Code1 Tech Systems seeks a Senior Data Governance & Quality Lead to drive enterprise-wide data governance and data quality initiatives within a banking environment.

The role collaborates with senior business and technology stakeholders to mature governance frameworks, ownership models, metadata management, and remediation processes, ensuring alignment with DMF and DQR requirements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience, with minimum 10 years in Data Management / Data Governance / Data Quality.
• Strong experience with Data Governance frameworks, Data Quality, Data Ownership & Stewardship, Metadata and Data Lineage.
• Solid understanding of banking data and regulatory requirements, especially DMF and DQR (CB UAE).
• Experience defining governance operating models, policies, standards and KPIs.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with senior business and technology teams.
• Proven track record leading Data Governance / Data Quality initiatives in large enterprises or banks.

• Define and establish Data Governance operating models, roles, responsibilities, decision rights and governance forums.
• Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, procedures, controls and guidelines.

• Define and implement Data Quality frameworks, including critical data elements, data quality rules, thresholds, KPIs and remediation processes.
• Drive identification, assessment, monitoring and remediation of data quality issues across critical business and regulatory data domains.
• Establish and enhance metadata management and data lineage capabilities.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance & Quality Lead to lead and advise on enterprise-wide Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives within a banking environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to establish and mature Data Governance frameworks, Data Quality standards, data ownership and stewardship models, metadata management, data lineage, and remediation processes.

The role will be responsible for defining the Data Governance roadmap, operating model, policies, standards, KPIs and governance mechanisms, while ensuring alignment with banking, regulatory and business requirements. Strong knowledge of CBUAE regulatory requirements, particularly the Data Management Framework (DMF) and Data Quality Requirements (DQR), is highly desirable.

Must Have Skills:

• Candidate with 15+ years of exp. and min 10 years of experience in Data Management / Data Governance / Data Quality.
• Strong experience in Data Governance frameworks, Data Quality, Data Ownership & Stewardship, Metadata and Data Lineage.
• Strong understanding of banking data and regulatory requirements. Experience with CBUAE regulations specifically DMF, DQR.
• Experience defining governance operating models, policies, standards and KPIs.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with senior business and technology teams.
• Proven experience leading Data Governance / Data Quality initiatives in large enterprises or banks.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Informatica / IDMC governance platforms.
• Experience with KYC, Credit, Risk, Regulatory or Customer data.
• Knowledge on CBUAE CPR and PDPL
• Exposure to AI Governance / Responsible AI.
• Experience in GCC / Middle East banking.
