JPMorganChase seeks a Senior Associate, Data Governance to join the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO). You will help create and publish firmwide governing documents that define governance processes supporting legal and regulatory requirements.

You will partner with Lines of Business (LOBs) and Corporate Functions (CFs) as a subject matter expert on data risk management policy and standards, while leveraging emerging AI/ML tools to improve document quality and governance controls.

Qualifications

• 2+ years applied experience in governance or related field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Data Risk Management Standard.
• Partner with LOB/CF stakeholders to drive policy compliance with Data Risk Management Policy.
• Leverage AI/ML to improve document creation, quality checks, and governance efficiency.
• Manage CDAO governing documents, including annual/off-cycle refresh cycles.
• Represent the Document Governance team in CDO forums as SME; advise on governance expectations.
• Coordinate forums by developing meeting materials and soliciting agenda items from stakeholders.

Job summary

As a Senior Associate, Data Governance at JPMorganChase within the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO), you will serve as a seasoned member of a high performing team responsible for carrying out critical and timely document reviews and updates across all areas within CDAO, focusing on Data Governance, Data Management, Privacy, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. You will also lead the creation and publication of new firmwide governing documents—standards, procedures, and frameworks that define governance processes supporting legal and regulatory requirements. You will partner with Lines of Business (LOBs) and Corporate Functions (CFs) stakeholders as a subject matter expert on the firmwide Data Risk Management Policy/Standard requirements.

Job responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the firmwide Data Risk Management Standard
• Partner closely with LOB/CF stakeholders to drive compliance with the firm’s Data Risk Management Policy and Standard requirements
• Leverage new and emerging AI/ML technology to improve document creation, quality checks, and document governance efficiency, while adhering to responsible AI/ML practices, privacy, and control requirements
• Manage CDAO governing documents, including review with stakeholders during annual / off-cycle refresh cycles, with a focus on Data Governance and Data Risk Management
• Represent the Document Governance team in CDO forums as a subject matter expert; advise on document governance expectations aligned with the Office of Document Governance (ODG) and end-to-end CDAO document lifecycle process
• Coordinate forums by developing meeting materials and soliciting agenda items from stakeholders within Firmwide Chief Data Office (FCDO)

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training and/or certification on Document Governance and 2+ years applied experience
• Strong command of English grammar and style to produce high-quality documentation for diverse audiences
• Expertise in communication, project management, process design, and business analysis; skilled at translating technical and risk requirements into clear, usable content
• Self-starter; able to work autonomously with discipline
• Ability to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on time with high quality
• Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable with partnering with people at all levels and across all functional areas (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Controls, Technology, and Business Operations)
• Professional maturity and confidence in expressing a point of view with varied stakeholders and audiences
