Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in implementing, configuring, optimizing, and supporting D365 F&O solutions across complex manufacturing environments.
The role requires strong business process knowledge, functional solutioning skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to translate manufacturing requirements into scalable D365 F&O solutions. Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, AI-enabled ERP capabilities, and intelligent automation will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional implementation, configuration, and optimization of D365 F&O Manufacturing and Supply Chain solutions.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional solutions aligned with standard D365 F&O capabilities.
- Configure and support Production Control, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Master Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management modules.
- Design and support manufacturing processes including BOMs, Routes, Production Orders, Batch Orders, Resources, Scheduling, and Production Execution.
- Work with business stakeholders to conduct workshops, fit-gap analysis, process mapping, and solution demonstrations.
- Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, test cases, and user training materials.
- Collaborate with technical consultants on customizations, integrations, reports, workflows, and data migration.
- Lead or support SIT, UAT, regression testing, go-live, and post-production support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization across manufacturing operations.
- Support integration of D365 F&O with MES, WMS, PLM, EDI, Power Platform, and other third‑party systems.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Copilot, AI, intelligent automation, and predictive analytics to improve planning, reporting, inventory, and manufacturing decision‑making.
- Mentor junior functional consultants and contribute to D365 F&O best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in ERP functional consulting with strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
- Strong functional expertise in Manufacturing and Production Control.
- Hands‑on experience with BOMs, Routes, Production Orders, Batch Orders, Resources, Production Journals, and Scheduling.
- Strong understanding of Master Planning/MRP, demand forecasting, capacity planning, replenishment, and production planning.
- Experience with Discrete Manufacturing, Process Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, or mixed‑mode manufacturing environments.
- Good understanding of Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Procurement & Sourcing, and Product Information Management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing costing, inventory valuation, production costing, and variance analysis.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, functional design, configuration, testing, and UAT.
- Experience preparing FRDs/FDDs, process flows, test scripts, user documentation, and training materials.
- Good understanding of D365 F&O integrations, data entities, workflows, security, and batch processes.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments.
AI & Modern ERP Capabilities
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities within Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Ability to identify practical AI use cases across demand forecasting, production planning, inventory optimization, reporting, and operational analytics.
- Exposure to Power Automate, Power BI, Power Platform, intelligent automation, or predictive analytics.
- Understanding of how AI can improve ERP user productivity, business process automation, decision‑making, and manufacturing operations.
- Awareness of data quality, security, governance, and responsible AI considerations when implementing AI‑enabled ERP solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with end‑to‑end D365 F&O implementation, upgrade, or transformation projects.
- Experience working in multi‑site, multi‑company, or global manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to Advanced Warehouse Management, Quality Management, Asset Management, or Transportation Management.
- Experience integrating D365 F&O with MES, PLM, WMS, or other manufacturing applications.
- Exposure to Power BI, Power Platform, Copilot, Azure services, or AI‑enabled business solutions.
- Experience with Dynamics AX 2012 to D365 F&O migration/upgrade projects.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related areas are preferred.
