ANZ Banking Group in Bengaluru invites applications for a Permanent role in Research & Analysis. The team supports UK & Europe Corporate Banking, handling credit submissions, risk assessment and portfolio monitoring across diverse sectors.

The role provides exposure to end-to-end credit management lifecycle and close collaboration with Relationship Managers and Credit teams. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in credit risk or related fields, strong credit writing and stakeholder-management

About the Role

The role sits within the Research & Analysis (R&A) function supporting ANZ's UK & Europe Corporate Banking business. The team manages a large and diverse portfolio of institutional clients across a range of sectors including Retail, Manufacturing, Industrials, Media, Entertainment, and other corporate industries. Research & Analysis is responsible for partnering closely with Coverage and Credit Risk teams to identify, assess, and manage customer and portfolio risks while supporting business growth. The team acts as a key interface between Relationship Managers and Credit, delivering balanced outcomes through strong customer focus, proactive risk management, and efficient execution. The role provides exposure to the end-to-end credit management lifecycle, including credit writing, risk grading, credit analysis, approvals, documentation, portfolio monitoring, covenant monitoring, and ongoing portfolio management activities.

What will your day look like?

• Conduct detailed financial, business, and industry analysis for institutional corporate clients.
• Prepare high-quality credit submissions, annual reviews, and credit recommendations.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with clients' capital structures, management teams, and financial performance.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring timely completion of annual reviews, risk monitoring, and portfolio management activities.
• Drive end-to-end credit processes including risk grading, credit assessment, credit approval support, documentation review, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Partner with Relationship Managers and Credit teams on risk, performance, and transaction-related matters.
• Complete portfolio management activities including covenant monitoring, limit maintenance, and well-managed regulatory requirements.
• Monitor emerging risks and proactively elevate issues where appropriate.
• Contribute to maintaining portfolio quality in line with ANZ policies, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.

What will you bring?

• 1-3 years work experience in credit risk, corporate banking, portfolio management or financial analysis.
• Strong credit analysis and report writing skills with the ability to translate financial and business insights into actionable credit recommendations.
• Understanding of Banking operations and Banking Products.
• Ability to deliver quality outcomes across a large and diverse client portfolio.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA Finance from a premier institution or other avenues such as master’s in economics, etc.
