Job summary

Nielsen is looking for a seasoned R2R professional to support global Record-to-Report operations in a GCC environment. You will ensure timely, accurate financial reporting, drive process improvements, and collaborate with onshore and offshore finance teams to maintain control and deliver insights.

The role emphasizes transitioning from processing to a business-partner mindset, ownership of balance sheet integrity, and proactive risk/variance highlighting in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Record-to-Report (R2R) and general accounting fundamentals.
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Hands-on ERP experience, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.
• Ability to collaborate with global stakeholders across time zones.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post manual journal entries including accruals, prepaids, bank, payroll and reclasses.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities per global timelines.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation.
• Maintain GL integrity and align with US GAAP/IFRS.
• Support management reporting and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with onshore stakeholders for issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to SLA timelines and SOX controls.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and automation.
• Participate in transition activities and knowledge transfer (if applicable).

Role Summary

Support global Record-to-Report (R2R) operations by delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. The role goes beyond processing to enable stronger stakeholder collaboration and drive continuous improvement within a GCC environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post manual journal entries (MJE) including accruals, prepaids, Bank, Payroll and reclasses
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities as per global timelines
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation and follow-up on open items
• Maintain GL integrity and ensure alignment with accounting policies (US GAAP/IFRS)
• Support preparation of management reporting and variance analysis
• Collaborate with onshore stakeholders/business finance teams for issue resolution
• Ensure adherence to SLA timelines and internal controls (SOX compliance)
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and automation
• Participate in transition activities and knowledge transfer (if applicable)

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of R2R processes and accounting fundamentals
• Experience in month-end close and reconciliations
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred)
• Good working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
• Ability to work with global stakeholders across time zones
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter
• 5-10 years of experience in R2R / General Accounting
