Job summary

Speed Global in Pune, Maharashtra, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop Engine Control Modules (ECMs) and genset controllers for power generation and industrial applications. You will define control system architecture, functional requirements, and specifications for engine and genset control solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in engine control systems, genset controller development, ECU/PCM design, or related domains.
• Hands-on experience in electrical system design and control system integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Engine Control Modules (ECM), Genset controller systems for power generation and industrial applications.
• Define control system architecture, functional requirements, and specifications for engine and genset control solutions.
• Develop control logic, algorithms, and electrical schematics for engine management and power generation systems.
• Integrate controllers with sensors, actuators, alternators, and engine subsystems.
• Support ECU/PCM software integration, calibration, and functional testing activities.
• Prepare wiring diagrams, harness specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Conduct system validation, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, testing, and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support during prototype development, field trials, and customer issue resolution.
