Job summary

Bristlecone India Limited seeks a seasoned Senior Consultant with deep SAP ABAP expertise and hands-on UI5 development experience. The role supports the S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team, delivering enhancements, custom interfaces, debugging, and production support while shaping modern UI5 applications for enterprise clients.

You will design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs, build SAP UI5/Fiori interfaces, integrate with IDocs, ALE, RFC and OData services, and mentor junior developers while

Qualifications

• 10+ years SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong hands-on SAP UI5/Fiori and OData services.
• Proven experience with S/4HANA technical delivery and migration projects.
• Deep knowledge of ABAP OO, BADI, Enhancement Spots, and SAP NetWeaver.
• Experience building interfaces using IDocs, ALE, RFC, and web services.
• Excellent debugging and production support skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical teams.
• Strong communication skills in English; client-facing experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, BAPIs, and enhancements.
• Create and customize SAP UI5/Fiori applications aligned with S/4HANA standards.
• Integrate SAP modules using IDocs, ALE, RFC, and OData services.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, debugging, and resolution of production incidents.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure performance optimization.
• Support migration and upgrade activities for S/4HANA landscapes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Prepare technical documentation, test cases, and deployment packages.
• Participate in client workshops and deliver technical presentations.
